Bee-hold the BEE!

June 9, 2008 in Creativity, Quotes

Quotejune08 Even though she is lovingly featured so often in my art, she is also often scorned when she appears in my backyard. Bee While trying to have a little family barbeque we often find ourselves swatting and sometimes even swearing when a bee buzzes into our personal space (or onto our sizzling piece of steak). Kris (and quote author St. John Chrysostom) reminds us this month that all creatures (even those bee-loved and bee-hated almost simultaneously) have a special purpose. “The bee is more honored than other animals; not because she labors, but because she labors for others.” I say, “Let it (her) Bee.”

That quote is so true.
This post also reminded me of a free quilt pattern that you had posted in March 2004 "Honey Bee Table Quilt" I actually made that quilt and was wanting to make another one for a friend but have misplaced the pattern. I was wondering where I could find it as it does not seem to be in the free pattern archive??
Your help in this would be much appreciated as my friend really loves it and I would really like to surprise her with one for her birthday.

Dear Richesstitches, I did recieve your email requesting the pattern but have been unable to get a reply through to you. Do you have an alternate email address? Or you might check with your service provider to see if there have been any problems.
Best wishes.

The Honey Bee Table Quilt pattern can be found in Debbie's book Cottage in Bloom. I am lucky enough to own it. I made just one honey bee block as a little wall hanging for my sister (the youngest of 9 children)who is a beekeeper in Rhode Island. Hope this helps.
