Merry Christmas!

December 25, 2006 in Christmas

Tree_of_light_hrreal_2It's here, it's Christmas!  Last night we celebrated my friend Neil's birthday in addition to singing a few carols and one more round of Lasagna.  Today we fly off to Seattle to spend Christmas with my family.  Hopefully, the airport will not be busy.  This year will be a little different.......Murphy's girlfriend is coming with us and my Mom's new significant other will be with us too.  My family is so small, I'm looking forward to expanding the family celebration to include them.  My mom's relationship with Paul has been going strong for the last year now - so it's not really new - but new to have him at Christmas.

Murphy's girlfriend (Anna)is a vegetarian (fish and dairy are OK), so my sister, Julie, has kindly planned a Crab Lasagna for us.  (Lasagna seems to be big this year!) And Uncle Ray (her husband) makes us his delicious Smoked Salmon every Christmas.  In fact, it wouldn't be Christmas without that tradition.  Ray caught both the crab and salmon  (the Seattle advantage!).  Sorry, I think his recipe is secret - but I really think it's his "touch" and years of experience that makes his the best I've ever had.

Tomorrow we've planned to see the new Ben Stiller movie (A Night at the Museum) and since I grew up in Seattle - I get to party with several old friends on the evening of the 26th.  OK, well enough of my plans - I need to get to the airport and I better leave now!

Merry, Merry Christmas!

Love Debbie

I'm having fun reading your blog. I have loved your products for years and always buy your calendar to hang in my kitchen. (I have a special frame for it.) I was very excited to see you have clip art CD's!! I started digital scrapbooking this year and am going to buy your CD set. Hope you're having fun in Seattle. The seafood lasagna sounds yummy. My family loves seafood (crab, shrimp, crawfish) pizza and I'm sure they would love the lasagna too.

White Christma is a family tradition in my family. It is not Christmas without watching at itleast once before Christmas and again on Christmas Day. It is such a tradition in our family that one Christmas when my 44 yr old brother was 10, no one was was allowed to talk, eat or move until it was over! We still tease him about telling grandma and grandpa to sit down and watch the movie or there would be "No Christmas dinner".

I just found your blog - how interesting to get to know something about the lady behind all the *fun* designs (Halloween & Christmas are my faves & I love your designs for 'em, too)!

Was tickled to see Love Actually on your Christmas movie list, since it's pretty new - but I've already watched it about eleventy-eighty times myself! I'd now add Polar Express, and the Santa Clause movies as well - & of course Charlie Brown Christmas (cute & poignant all at once!).

Here's to many more Happy Holidays! Deborah
